That's why the Smiths choose to put down roots here. Colin's parents – one Black, one White – got married back in the 1960s.

They decided to settle in this area because they knew they could live and enjoy their new family in peace. Colin was born and raised in this district, and he has spent his entire adult life giving back to the place that made him the person he is today.
